Mermaid Wishes

When I should be sleeping I've been crafting.  I pulled out this fun Mermaid image from Aurora Wings.  I added shells, lace, ribbon, pearls, flowers, gems, glossy accents, stickles and fun DP.  I colored the image using chalk.

Sometimes I love papers that already have the sentiment on them...like this one that says 'Dream'!  So, I've mentioned on previous posts that I've been getting new dies in the mail that I've ordered from Wish.com.  Fare warning, this site is extremely addicting!!  This shoe is one of my new dies, as are the bow and the flower dies.  I also added some wood butterflies, lace doilies and some pearls.

Dreams Come True

This week over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog the challenge theme is 'Sparkle and Shine'.  We have two fun sponsors Sasayaki Glitter and Melonheadz.  This was made using the "Fairy Land set".  The awesome thing about these sets is that you can create an entire scene with these.  I added the flowers, lady bug, grass, frog, butterfly and fairy.  For the glitter and sparkle part, I added some fun glittery paper, glittery tulle, glittery lace, and added some Stickles to the image.

25th Anniversary

One of my co-workers asked me to make her a 25th anniversary card for some friends of hers.  She asked that I make it to be "victorian".  I found this fun digi image and used a sentiment from Netty's Cards, added some fun silver accents and a lace-looking butterfly sticker, some ribbon, some pearls and some gems.

I love how the silver and pink look together!  I hope she likes it too!

A New Design Team

I have been invited to join a new design team and I accepted!  This team is Crafting With Dragonflies!  I'm excited to join a new team where I will get to play with any image I choose.  This will give me the chance to use up some of the thousands of digial images I already have!  Yay!!

This week's challenge theme is "Sentiment as your main focus".  I found this packet of fun golden sentiments at Micheals Craft store and had to get them.  I added some fun double sided papers, hemp twine bow, flowers, leaf dies and some lace and pearls.  This is my first card on my new Design Team!

One Good Fart...

This hilarious image from Limited Runs Digi Stamps was the freebie for the progressive challenge on their Facebook page.  You can get more info HERE.  Gotta love a Steampunk Bug!  :)

For this card I used some steampunk gears, a sentiment I created and will share here, some gems, a book mark die and some other fun dies.  I chose to go with bright colors and make it a Father's day card.

A friend's Mom passed away yesterday.  I made this for her.  I chose to do the triple mat technique for this one.  I added an angel stick pin I made, flowers, butterflies w/pearls, a bow and I used some fun dies and a fun punch.  The paper is from a new set I recently purchased by DCWV.

Doing A Friend's Wedding Today

One of my co-worker friends is getting married today at 2pm at the Boise Train Depot (no longer in use for trains).  Originally she was going to have the pastor of her fiance's church do it, but as punishment for her not being a member of his congregation he wanted to charge them $2000+.  What preacher would teach "don't fool around until you are married", but then wants to make it near impossible to do by "Christian" means?  Because I've done a few other weddings for family members of other co-workers who raved about how awesome of a job I do (I'm not bragging...) she called me and asked if I would do their ceremony.  I made this card for them.  They were high school sweethearts.  They're both in their late 50's.  They lost touch with each other and since have both been widowed and/or divorced.  I'm so excited for them!

Since they are a special couple, super sweet and very kind, I wanted to make them something more...unique, for their card.  Their weddings colors will be pinks and cream.  I used a sheet of double sided DP from the Preserved Paper pack by DCWV and a sentiment from Create With TLC.  I added some dies, ribbon flowers, a bow, cheese cloth, pearls, string pearls and pop dots.  I really love how this turned out.  I hope the pictures do it justice!

Two Fun Sponsors

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog the challenge theme is 'Anything  Goes'.  We have two great sponsors Digistamp Atelier and Knitty Kitty.  The images we were given to play with by these two sponsors I played with!  :)  One thing I enjoy about anything goes is that you can litterally do ANYTHING...So, I ended up with two totally different creations.,

This was done using the Knitty Kitty image and a sentiment I came up with.  I added some polka dots and stripes papers, a button & a scrap of ribbon, I used an embossing folder on one layer and an edge puncher on the bottom of the card.  I traced the edges of all of the layers with "stitching" marks.

The card I made using the Digi Stamp Atlier image I fluffed up by using some extra layers, a paper doily, gems, a flower, a stick pin, a charm, some leafy dies, a butterfly die and some ribbon.

This sweet girl from Tiddly Inks must be discontinued?  I can't seem to find her anyplace in the store.  I'm pretty sure she is from Tiddly Inks, she is in my Tiddly Inks folder anyway...LOL

For this card I added a layer of DP, some lace, hearts, flowers, butterflies, stickles and gems.  I cut the image out using my fun stitched ovals.

Celebrate

I told my Mom that while she was here for my daughter's graduation she could pick out her Mother's Day gifts...My handmade cards.  Needless to say, she took A LOT of them.  Now I need to restock.  LOL  Since Birthday cards seem to be a big need/want from the ladies at work, I decided I should make more generic celebration and some more birthday cards.  I pulled out this fun little Tiddly Inks image and one other that I need to finish up (waiting for the glitter to dry).  For this card I used this adorable "Flutterying By To Say Hi" image.  I used several dies for this card, some flowers, lace and gems.  I added Stickles to the butterflies, her wings and her dress.

Let Our Love Take Flight

One of my co-workers is about to celebrate her 18th month anniversary with her boyfriend by taking a hot air balloon ride together.  She asked me to make her a card that had a hot air balloon, the sentiment "Let Our Love Take Flight", and she wanted 18 months someplace on the card.  Due to the fact that he just purchased a house, and she has a new-ish to her house I wanted to add this fun house die as well.  I didn't want to make it too girly, since it is a card she is giving to him...I think I failed on that.  LOL  It is so hard to make cards for guys sometimes.  I wanted to go with the vintage look.  I added some burlap, hemp twine, gold gems, and flowers.  I did add a large brown doily (it's buried).
